Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Carver; parents, Rufus Henry Dowden & Cammie Mae Minerva Moss; brothers, Earl, Swefton, Luther,Carl & Charles Dowden; sisters, Betty Manwell & Shawnee Ashworth; great-granddaughter, Nylah Horton; and brothers-in-law, Frank Grimes and Wayne Ashworth; and son-in-law, Johnny Farris.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, James Arnett and wife Haliegh of Arkansas, Mark Carver and wife Shelby of Leesville, John Carver and wife Sandy of Leesville, and Tommy Arnett of Arkansas;
daughters, Sheryl Farris of Anacoco, LA, Tonya Carver-Coleman and husband Anthony of Lafayette, and Jennifer Carver Sandifer and husband Dennis of Iota, LA;
brother, James Dowden of Deweyville, TX;
sister, Mattie Grimes of Leesville;
Tammie, Howard, and Bryan who she considered to be her children;
and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family members.
Funeral services for Judy will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Oak Forest Baptist Church with Reverends Joe Call and Ralph Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Castor Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Mark Carver, John Carver, James Arnett, John Joseph Carver, Dylan Carver, Charles Daniel Carver, Bryan Wallace, and Howard Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be Dennis Sandifer, Anthony Coleman, Thomas Wayne Carver, and Timothy Wayne Hamilton.
A visitation will be held at the church on Friday, April 15th beginning at 6:00 p.m. and will continue until the time of service on Saturday.
