Obituary for Joyce Maureen Jeane
Funeral services honoring the life Joyce Maureen Hoffman Jeane will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Crystal Springs Baptist Church with Rev. David Jeane officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at Crystal Springs Baptist Church from 5:00 PM until the time of service on Wednesday.
Joyce Maureen Hoffman Jeane was born on April 21, 1953, in St. Louis, Missouri, to John and Charlet Kirchoff Hoffman. She passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 70 in Anacoco, Louisiana. Joyce was always taking care of others and would never turn anyone away. She loved to smile and make others laugh. This earned her the nickname of “JOYous”. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she enjoyed decorating her house and yard. She was proud of her family and loved spending time with her kids and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen “DD” Jeane; mother, Charlet “Ray” Mynard; father, John Hoffman; son, Billy Lohman; son in law, Benny Martinez; brothers, John, Rick, and Don Hoffman; and sister, Judy Ficke.
She is survived by her son, Gene Lohman (Alyssa) of Anacoco,
daughters, Emily Lewing (Chip) and Debbie Martinez of Leesville,
brother, Charles Hoffman (Sharon) of Missouri,
sister, Charlet Rogers (Richard) of Anacoco,
nine grandchildren, 1 great grandson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
