Joyce Louise Rose Simmons was born January 6, 1956, in Leesville, Louisiana and passed away October 30, 2024, in Leesville at the age of 68. She enjoyed reading, cooking, working in her garden, and snorkeling at Toledo Bend. Being at home taking care of her family was important to her. She liked to dance with her husband and visit with extended family and friends.
Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Charles Henry; granddaughter, Ann Marie Benoit; parents, Harvey Rose & Irene Trull Rose; and brothers, Emite Rose, Howard Rose, and W.H. Rose.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Anthony “Scott” Pearson and Jamie Simmons;
grandchildren, Serena Benoit, Sabrina Benoit, Matthew Benoit, and Jasmine Conner;
brother, David Rose;
sister, Linda Finger;
nieces and nephews, Toni Rose, Karol White, Jessica Miller, Rhonda Fleming, Shane Rose, and Roy Rose;
and a host of extended family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2024, in Stephens Cemetery.
