Obituary for Joshua David Scott
A funeral service for Joshua David Scott will be held at Hicks United Pentecostal Church on Saturday, March 11, 2023, from 2pm to 4pm with Reverend Greg Mortensen officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. The pallbearers will be Travis Gunn, Clint Ely, Jacob Menard, Selwyn Thomas, Paul Kaup, Robert Smith, Richard Sardelli, and Jesse Mendez. The honorary pallbearers will be Nick Hahn, Meldredth Scott, and Rickie Menard.
A visitation will be held at the church on Friday, March 10th from 4pm to 9pm.
Joshua was born August 17, 1979, in Sommers Point, New Jersey and passed away March 3, 2023, at the age of 43. He worked in the oilfield for over 20 years and traveled the world for his job. He had a friendly personality and would give the shirt off of his back to help someone in need. Joshua was a hard-working man but enjoyed hunting and spending time with his wife and daughter. He took great pride in being a family man. His world revolved around his wife and daughter. Everything he did was for them, and they will miss him dearly.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Katelyn Scott of Leesville, LA;
daughter, Madeline Scott of Leesville;
parents, Meldredth Scott Jr. and Kathryn Scott of Seattle, WA;
sister, Karis Scott of Seattle;
niece, Alexandria Maguire;
mother & father-in-law, Rickie and Debbie Menard of League City, TX;
brothers & sisters-in-law and their families, Jacob and Jennifer Menard of Rayne, LA, Nikki and Jason Jansky of League City, Jessica Menard of League City, and Kristin Menard of Rayne;
and numerous friends.
