Obituary for Johnny Lee Henderson
Bible Verse
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” John 14:1-3
His Story
Johnny Lee Henderson
A ray of sunshine he was.
Johnny Lee Henderson was born July 28, 1958 in Greenville, South Carolina to John Henderson and Thelma Moore. Growing up in South Carolina, he always felt there was more to life he wanted to explore, so he decided to enlist in the military at 19 years old. Since the day he was born, his mission in life was to protect and serve. Generous, kind, honorable man who served 20 years in the United States Army along with 20 years as a head food service worker to serve the younger soldiers who would enlist and serve after him.
Johnny possessed a personality that was comforting and welcoming. He never met a stranger. He had a sense of humor that all his family and friends appreciated. A loving grandfather who would go to the end of the world for his grandkids.
Johnny is preceded in death by his grandparents, his father John Henderson, his mother Thelma Moore and his aunts and uncles.
He is survived by his lovely wife Cynthia Henderson, 3 sons Sedric Green, Derrick Green, and Elridge Robertson. His grandchildren, Jaedyn Eleazer, Emonie Robertson, Eva Robertson, Nate Green, Dionell Green, Ki Green and Brandon Green.
