Obituary for John M. Holt
A graveside service for John Marion Holt will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the pavilion at Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery on Wednesday May 23, 2018 under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Jeane’s Funeral Service on Tuesday, May 22nd.
John was born on July 5, 1951, and passed away on May 20, 2018, at the age of 66. John was a free spirit who loved to laugh and make jokes. He was one of the last true hippies, a pool player, and enjoyed being in the outdoors hunting, fishing, and riding his four wheeler. Most of all, John loved his family and his dog, Precious.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Leonidas Holt and Mildred Elisabeth Gibson Holt; his sister, Janell Glennon; his niece, Michele Ellis; and his nephew, Kevin Neal.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, John Bryant and wife Caitlyn of Natchitoches, LA and Lee Holt of Zwolle, LA
Daughter: Tiffany Holt of Stonewall, LA
Stepdaughters: Deedria Graf and Natasha Simmons
Sisters: Peggy Holt Brown of Toledo Bend, LA and Patsy Holt Ellis and husband Rupert L. Ellis of Lumberton, TX
Brother-in-law: Doyle Glennon of Crossett, AR
Special Friend: Sherry Dean
as well as several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Pallbearers will be Ricky Paul Brumfield, DeVane Hollis, Casey West, Robbie West, Chuck Neal, and Eric Klesko.
Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Hamby and Kenny Jennings.
