Obituary for Joanna Vesta Cooper Robinson
Joanna Vesta Cooper Robinson was born September 18, 1952, and went home to be with Jesus February 21, 2023 at the age of 70 surrounded by her husband and girls. She was a woman of God that loved her family with her whole heart. She was raised by her grandparents, but to her that was Mama and Daddy. Joanna had many talents, including singing. She also loved flowers and could make the most beautiful arrangements. She did flowers for many occasions over the years for many people. But her first concern was that her family that had gone on always had a new arrangement for all the seasons on their graves. She loved to do canning. She would sit up all night shelling peas by hand. She loved her animals dearly. Sugar (a deer chihuahua) was her latest baby of 10 years. There was not a night that went by that Sugar wasn’t with her sleeping. She was an amazing woman that will be missed by many.
Those who preceded her in death are her mama, Buena Vesta Gordy Hall; daddy, Isiah Hall; mother, Jeanette Wilma Hall Miller; sisters, Gale Philips and Ester Carruth; mother-in-law, Eula Mae Robinson; and father-in-law, LC “Sambo” Robinson.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 53 years, Raymond Robinson, who has taken such good care of her;
daughters, Renee Yost and husband Jeremy and Maria Dixon and husband Mason;
three grandchildren, Haley Guice and husband Cody, Autumn Fontenot, and Brianna Yost;
and four great-grandchildren, Abby Hart, Drew Guice, Brayden Guice, and Micah Fontenot.
Joanna’s family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Joseph’s Hospice that sent their new family member, Krista Collins, to them.
Funeral services for Joanna will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at LaCamp Church of God with Reverends Shawn Waggoner and Lorraine Smith officiating. The burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Johnny Hall, Randy Hall, Jeff Hall, Clay Hall, James Hall, and Ricky Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be Butch Phillips, David Nichols, Donnie Herrington, Curtis Evans, and K.C. Robinson.
A visitation will be held at LaCamp Church of God on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
