Obituary for Jimmie "Jim" Stanley
A memorial service for Jimmie “Jim” Marvin Stanley will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Ebenezer Cemetery Chapel, 201 Ebenezer Road Leesville, LA 71446, under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday at the chapel.
Jim was born on December 19, 1946, and passed away on June 7, 2017, at the age of 70. He served in the Army for 20 years then worked for the Civil Service for about 20 years before retiring. Jim enjoyed fishing and football, but he will be remembered most for being the glue that held his family together. He loved spending time at home with his family, and they will truly miss him.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Jimmie Newton Stanley and Corafae Barker Stanley and his brother, Nelson Leroy Stanley.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Suzanne Stanley of Hicks, LA
Son: Jimmie LeReille Stanley of Houston, TX
Daughters: Kristine Leah Stanley of Slagle, LA and Rebecca Stephanie Stanley of New Orleans, LA
Sister: Ann Rochelle Allen Ferry of Canton, IL
Grandchildren: Kloie Bree Commack and Jimmie Lee Stanley
