Obituary for Jesse Michael Liles
Jesse Michael Liles was born December 27, 1952 and passed away December 5, 2019 at the age of 66. He was born in Gastonia, North Carolina and at the age of 17, he moved with his family to Bowling Green, Kentucky. After graduating from Warren East High School, he married Marilyn Woods, and they had a son, Billy Joe. After divorcing from Marilyn, Jesse met Brenda Sexton, and they had a daughter, Jessica Michelle. He was a member of a biker club and enjoyed building motorcycles. In October of 1979, he had a life-changing moment after a severe car accident in which he was brought back to life. After this, he gave his heart to God and became a changed man. In Kentucky, Jesse was an active member of Fairview United Methodist Church where he served as the evangelist. He spent many hours working with children in after-school programs and summer camps. After Jesse’s wife, Bobbi, passed away, he moved to Leesville to be near his daughter and became a member of Leesville First Baptist Church.
Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, Bobbi Liles; parents, Jesse Foster Liles and Mary Frances Liles; and brother, Richard “Ricky” Liles.

second family in North Carolina, Robert, Ann, Robbie, and Rodney Spencer,
and special friends, Mike Johnson and Kay Carlson.
A gathering time for the friends and family of Jesse to pay tribute to his memory will be held from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2019 at Jeane’s Funeral Service.
