Obituary for Jerry Cade
Graveside services for Jerry Cade of Amarillo, TX. will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 4:00 P.M. in the Canaan Cemetery of Leesville under the guidance of Jeane's Funeral Service of Leesville. Mr. Cade 80 died on Thursday, May 9, 2013 in Amarillo, TX. He was a native of Canadian, Texas and had lived in the Amarillo, TX area for most of his life where he worked for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a U. S. Army Veteran having served in the Korean Conflict and was wounded twice and received the Purple Heart for his service. He was stationed at Ft. Polk where he met a waitress named Rosa and in 1937 married her and moved to Amarillo. He loved his Lord and Savior and shared with others about his God. He loved his family and had a heart of gold and was always there for others in their time of need. Survivors are his wife Rosa Cade of Amarillo, TX. Two sons: Carl and wife Janie and youngest son Larry of Amarillo, TX. Daughter: Mary Cade of Amarillo, TX. Sister in Law: Billie Edwards and husband L.J. Of Simpson, LA. Host of nieces and nephews and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Visitation will be with the family before services on Saturday.
