Obituary for Jenell Hagan Brooks
Funeral services for Jenell Hagan Brooks will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Hicks United Pentecostal Church with Bro. Greg Mortensen officiating. Burial will follow in the Hicks United Pentecostal Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020, from 9:30 AM until time of service at Hicks United Pentecostal Church.
Jenell Hagan Brooks of Leesville, LA was born on April 7, 1931 and entered the Golden Gates of Heaven on November 22, 2020 while at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center. She was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish and a proud church going Christian. For 22 plus years, she worked as a CNA at Byrd Hospital where she touched and changed many lives doing a job she loved. Very seldom did you hear her say the word “NO” to any of her children or grandchildren. She offered guidance with patience, love, open arms, and prayer, to anyone. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. She will live on in the memories of the many people she touched during her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Brooks, stepson, Billy Wayne Brooks, parents, Charlie and Mary Hagan, sister, LaVonne Brack, and brother, Othel D. Hagan.
She is survived by her two sons, Charles Brooks and wife Kathy and Bruce Brooks, and wife Grace of Leesville, LA
daughter, Jeanine Highbaugh and husband Chuck of Leesville, LA
stepdaughter, Dorothy Dousey of Alexandria, LA
sisters, Marilyn Smith, Abigail Walters, and Janice Easley
15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
