Jefferson Isaac Smart was born on December 3, 1977 in DeRidder, LA to Almon and Barbara Smart. He passed away on September 8, 2019, in Alexandria, LA at the age of 41. Jeff graduated from Anacoco High School in 1996. He went on to become a certified welder and fabricator spending many years supporting military efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan. He really enjoyed scuba diving to the point of becoming a master diver, and spending time doing anything involving being outdoors. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, and especially found enjoyment aggravating his nieces and nephews. He always had a smile on his face and a contagious positive attitude that people naturally gravitated to. He never met a stranger because he had the type of personality that made him instantly likable, and he had a special ability to connect to kids like they had known him their entire life. He was always willing to do for others and put their needs or wants before his own. He touched many lives during his time here and will be missed greatly by anyone that was fortunate enough to have known him. He will be forever loved and remembered for his generous nature and big heart.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, brother, Gregory Smart, nephew, Joseph Clinton, and Juli Broussard
He is survived by his parents Almon and Barbara Smart
Brothers, Jeremy Smart and wife Miranda of Lake Charles, and Jared Smart of Oakdale
Sister, Jennifer Clinton and husband Mark of Anacoco
