Obituary for Jasper Ollie Riley
A graveside service for Jasper “Jay” Ollie Riley Jr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday August 7, 2019, at Evans Cemetery with Kevin Coward and Jared Riley speaking. A visitation time for the family and friends of Jay will be held at Hearts United Church in Evans Louisiana on Wednesday August 7 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Jasper “Jay” Ollie Riley Jr. was born on March 27, 1957 and passed away on August 5, 2019 at the age of 62. He was a 1975 graduate of Evans High School, and after attending school to become an electrician he worked in that field for many years. Jay was a member of the local Union 716 of Houston, and he enjoyed fishing, riding his Harley, playing the bass guitar, and racecars. Most of all, Jay loved his family with all his heart, especially his grandkids.
Jay was preceded in death by his father, Jasper “J.O.” Ollie Riley Sr.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 35 years, Kathy Riley of Evans LA
sons, Jason Riley and wife Jamie of Montgomery, TX and Jared Riley and wife Shelby of
Evans LA
daughters, Rebecca Craft and husband Bradley of Evans LA and Vaniesha Thompson and husband Claude of Evans LA
mother, Dorris Jean Evans of West Monroe
brother, Darwin Riley and wife Omie of Evans LA
sister, Elizabeth Rawls and husband Sam of West Monroe LA
eleven grandchildren, and a host of extended family.
Pallbearers will be Darwin Riley, Isaac Riley, Jared Riley, Jason Riley, Claude Thompson, Bradley Craft. Honorary pallbearer will be Corey Williams.
