Obituary for Jason Elwood Busby
Funeral services for Jason Elwood Busby will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Laurel Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Wesley Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Carlos Underwood, Thomas Underwood, Trace Busby, Lance Thompson, Chris Busby, and Chase Busby. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Hall, Donald Lee Johnson, and Jerry Twyman. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Jason was born June 25, 1976, in Leesville, Louisiana and passed away October 29, 2022, in Leesville at the age of 46. He had worked for a while at Byrd Hospital as a custodian and later at Fort Polk in role play. He was a member of Laurel Hill Baptist Church and was an avid LSU and Saints fan. Jason was a jokester who liked to joke and pick with people.
Jason was preceded in death by his mother, Sherry Ann Gilcrease Busby.
Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Donald Elwood Busby and extended family members.
