Obituary for Janice Lanet Snow Lowrey
Funeral services for Janice Lanet Snow Lowery will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at Union Baptist Church in Florien, LA with Charles Pennington officiating. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 on Wednesday in Old Union Cemetery, 336 Old Union Church Road, Winnfield, LA 71483. A visitation will be held at Union Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 19th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Janice was born December 21, 1951, in Winnfield, LA and passed away April 17, 2022, in Anacoco, LA at the age of 70. She lived in the Anacoco area for the past 35 years and was an active church member where she taught Sunday School and Children’s Church. Janice accepted the Lord as her personal savior at the age of 5. Janice was an expert gardener, and her yard was filled with beautiful blooms. Her other hobbies included cooking, crocheting, knitting, painting, and working puzzles. Janice’s pet dogs held a special place in her heart.
Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Louis Snow and Mary Laurissabell Snow.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 51 years, Michael Lowrey of Anacoco;
daughter, Kerry Lowrey of Anacoco;
brother, James Roy Snow and wife Pam of Lake Charles, LA;
sisters, Marilyn Pirkle of West Monroe, LA and Judy Blanchard of Omaha, NE;
and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
