Obituary for James Robert Boles
Funeral services for James Robert Boles will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 7, 2020 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Reverends Dewayne Davis and Tim Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation for the family and friends of James will be held at the church beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6th and will continue until the time of service on Friday.
James was born September 24, 1979 in Beckley, WV and passed away February 3, 2020 in Baton Rouge, LA at the age of 40. He served in the U.S. Army in Afghanistan. James lived in West Virginia for many years before moving to Baton Rouge. He enjoyed cooking, taking culinary classes, and experiencing all the wonderful new foods that he discovered in Louisiana. James was an avid golf player and a talented photographer. He was blessed with musical talent and could pick up an instrument and easily learn how to play it. He passed this ability on to his son.
James was preceded in death by his grandparents, James K. Boles, Robert Alexander, and Gloria Alexander.
