Obituary for James Michael Baker
James Michael Baker was born August 11, 1971, in Fall River, Massachusetts and passed away at his home in New Llano, Louisiana on January 28, 2022, at the age of 50. He loved working as a truck driver until the onset of cancer in 2020. James liked to go scraping collecting metals which he would sort and sell. He also enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles. Most of all, he loved his wife and family.
James was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia L. Gray Baker.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 7 years, Janice Baker of Anacoco, LA;
son, Jesse S. Baker of Leesville, LA;
daughters, Lara M. Sanchez of Indiana, Kathrin E. Baker of Leesville, LA, and Carol Ann Baker of Leesville, LA;
granddaughter, Luna Sanchez;
father and stepmother, Alan T. Baker and wife Anna of New Llano, LA;
brothers, Corey A. Baker of TX, Kenneth T. Baker of Temple, TX, and Eric J. Baker of Leesville, LA;
sister, Kelly A. Connor of New Orleans, LA;
and extended family members.
A memorial service for James will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at 187 Mill Road in Anacoco, LA.
