Obituary for James "Jimbo" Thomas Neff Jr.
James Thomas Neff Jr., Jimbo to his family and friends, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, January 19, 2023.
Jimbo was born May 18, 1950, in Leesville to Dr. James “Jim” T. Neff and Robbie “Bobbie” Lee Craft Neff. He called Leesville home for the last 35 years after raising a family in the Houston area.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Bobbie Neff and brothers, Mark Alan Neff, Michael Vaughn Neff, and Gary Steven Neff.
He is survived by his children, James Lynn Neff and wife Leslie, Lois Christine Jaime and husband Darren, and Joyce Lee Schmutzer and husband Andrew;
grandchildren, Gabriel, Abigail, Megan, DJ, Willa, and Grayson;
great-grandchildren, Luke and Elana;
brother, Dr. Jerry Neff and wife Laura;
sisters-in-law, Anna Jo Neff and Doris Neff
beloved nieces, Kelly Lackey, Lindsey Savant, and Ashley Brayton;
and nephews, Matthew, Patrick, Andrew, & Zach Neff.
A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church in Leesville on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, Jimbo’s family has requested memorials be made to the United Methodist Church of the Pines at P.O. Box 1412 Jasper, Texas 75951.
