Obituary for James" Jamey" Stephens
Funeral services for James "Jamey" Stephens will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014, at 10:00 AM at East Leesville Baptist Church, 266 Alexandria Hwy., Leesville, Louisiana. Rev. Wayne Chance, Rev. Terry Ward, and Rev. Dan Booth will be officiating. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service. Visitation will be on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM at East Leesville Baptist Church. Jamey, 31, was born to Richard Stephens and Tammy Harvey on January 23, 1983 in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was a graduate of Leesville High School and had been employed in the Leesville/DeRidder area. Jamey was of the Christian faith. He loved to laugh and spend time with his family, especially his two daughters. He was an avid outdoorsman and also enjoyed going to the races. Superman was his "hero". Left to cherish his memory are: father, Ricky and wife Gwen of Leesville, mother, Tammie and husband Sam of DeRidder. Daughters: Destiny and Morgan of Rosepine Sister: Shaylee Stephens of Leesville Brothers: Fred Stephens and Clint Harvey both of Leesville Step-brother: Samuel Harvey of DeRidder Also he had a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
