Obituary for James Hampton Stephenson
Funeral services honoring the life of James Hampton Stephenson will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2016, 2:00 PM at First United Pentecostal Church, 101 Nolan Trace, Leesville, LA with Rev. Greg Mortensen officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery under the direction of Jeane�s Funeral Service. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 5, 2016, 4:00-9:00 PM at First United Pentecostal Church. James Hampton Stephenson was born on June 30, 1945, to Walter Glen Stephenson and Ivy Delorice Herring in Leesville, LA. He passed away on December 3, 2016, in Leesville, LA at the age of 71. He was a lifelong resident of the Leesville area, and a 1963 graduate of Leesville High School. James served in the United States Air Force and had worked as a driving instructor at Central State College of Fort Polk. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville and loved to hunt, fish and dig for arrowheads. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Preceding him in death was his parents, two grandsons: Joshua Stephenson and Brian Toups, Jr. and other family members. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jane Peavy Stephenson of Leesville Son: Brandon Kelsey Stephenson of Leesville Daughter: Rhonda Teresa Toups and husband Brian of Leesville Grandchildren: Brandon and Austin Stephenson and Faith and Harlie Toups Words of comfort may be extended to the family at www.jeanesfs.com.
