Obituary for James Green Bell
A visitation for James Green Bell will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Flactor Baptist Church on Friday, December 11, 2020 followed by military honors under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Mr. Bell was born May 16, 1926 in New Hebron, Mississippi and passed away December 8, 2020 in Lake Charles, Louisiana at the age of 94. He was a member of Flactor Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He was a proud veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Mr. Bell enjoyed drinking coffee, fishing, working with wood, traveling, and taking care of his cattle. He also liked to be outdoors camping and fishing with his family.
Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his parents, Hainy Edward Bell & Bonnie Taylor Bell and sisters, Ruby Catchot and Dottis Auston.
Left to cherish his memory his wife of 67 years, Gloria Bell of Hicks, LA,
sons, Kenneth Bell and wife Arlene of Otis, LA; Roger Bell of Leesville, LA; and David Bell and wife Keshia of Diamon City, AR,
daughters, Debbie Merchant and husband Ronald of Hineston, LA and Pamela McCory of Sebring, FL,
sister, Billie Plunk and husband Everett,
eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
