James was born June 4, 1938, and passed away August 19, 2022, at his home in Anacoco at the age of 84. He proudly served in the U.S. Army for 27 years and then worked overseas for Brown & Root where he drove Big Rigs. James loved his country and was proud to fly an American flag. It was important to him to replace the flag once it became torn. He was a supportive and faithful member of Anacoco Pentecostal Church until his health declined. James loved everybody and never met a stranger. He enjoyed visiting with the ladies and everyone else at the stores he visited. His wife, Susie, was the love of his life, and he treated her like an angel. His family was the most important part of his life, and James always had time to check on them either by a phone call or text.
James was preceded in death by his parents, William Claude Wablington and Nannie Mae Chennault Wablington and sister, Elizabeth Ann Nichols.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Melba “Susie” Wablington of Anacoco, LA;

daughters, Stephanie Ann Self of Anacoco and Tina Clearman of Collinsville, MS;
