Obituary for Isaac R Nabors, Sr.
Isaac R Nabors, Sr. was born in Zwolle, LA on March 4, 1956, to the late Louis Adam Nabors, Sr. and Lillian Conerly Nabors. He was the fifth of five children and was reared in Leesville, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis Nabors, Sr. and Lillian Conerly Nabors, two brothers, Louis Nabors, Jr., Joseph Nabors, two sisters, Karen Isabella Nabors, and Martha Nabors- Linnear.At an early age, Ike, as he was so lovingly called, joined and was baptized at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church in Vowells Mills, LA. He attended Vernon Elementary and Leesville High where he graduated in 1974. After finishing high school, he attended Northwestern State University and pledged Alpha Phi Alpha. On this journey of life, Ike worked for over 25 years for Vernon Parish School Board and Walmart for over 30 years.
On Thursday, November 19, 2020, Isaac R. Nabors, Sr., 64, entered eternal rest. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend leaves to cherish his memories his wife Veda Martin-Nabors, sons, Isaac Jr. and Corey Nabors, three grandchildren, Darrion, Malayna, and Corey Jr., sister-in-law, Patricia Nabors, aunt, Maxine McGaskey, a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, and many many dear friends.
