Obituary for Huel Reid Oxley
Huel Reid Oxley was born July 7, 1942, in Leesville, Louisiana and passed away May 6, 2023, at the age of 80. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianna Elizabeth Link Oxley; parents, Huel Benjamin Oxley and Mary Reba Law Oxley; and sister, Gwendolyn Faye Oxley D’Water.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Joseph Reid Oxley and wife Karen Brodie Oxley, Lia Elizabeth Oxley Shook and husband Timothy, and Matthew Allen Oxley and husband Scott Pheiffer;
grandchildren, Amber Leigh Bolin, Cameron Michaela Heath Luke and husband Adam, Jared Thomas Heath and wife Caitlin, Joshua Paul Heath, Trevor Michael Heath and wife Katie, Rebecca Elizabeth Heath, and Cody Lee Heath;
great-grandchildren, Makayla Marie Conn, Charles Leroy Luke, Aiden Michael Luke, Griffis Link Heath, Linkon Timothy Heath, Scarlett Marie Heath, Morgan Clarice Heath, Mazie Kate Heath, Barrett McCoy Heath, and Bailey Blue Heath;
sister, Julia Ann Oxley Clark and husband Lucien;
nephew, Gary D’Water;
niece, Kathleen D’Water;
and extended family members.
A graveside service with military honors will be held for Mr. Oxley at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 27, 2023, in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville, Louisiana under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
