Obituary for Howard Ray Whipkey Jr
A memorial service for Howard Ray Whipkey, Jr. will be held on Friday, December 16, 2016, at 6:00PM in Galilee Baptist Church, Evans, LA with Rev. Raymond Willie and Chaplain Alan Simmons officiating. Ray was born on February 15, 1960, in Bossier City, LA to Howard Ray Whipkey Sr., and Mary Simmons. He passed away on December 9, 2016, at the age of 56 in Evans, LA. Ray Ray, as known by many, loved his family, friends, and the Evans community that he lived in. He enjoyed the river, the woods, mudholes, and being with his loving wife and friends. He was a ibew electriction by trade. He also was an excellent mechanic who could fix almost anything. Ray was proud to be a volunteer firefighter at the Evans Fire Station for many years. His call sign was Evans 7. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Whipkey, Sr. and his mother Mary Williams. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Dee Howlett Whipkey Sisters: Francis Ferrera and Tracy Doan both of Las Vegas, NV Brother: Doug Whipkey, Sr. of Evans, LA Dee and family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for all the prayers and support.
