Obituary for Horace Nathaniel "Nathan" Condon Sr.
Funeral services for Horace Nathaniel “Nathan” Condon Sr. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 4, 2021, at Pisgah Baptist Church, 1420 Pisgah Church Loop Florien, LA, with Reverends C.M. Kelly and Joey Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service on Monday.
Nathan was born February 1, 1963, in Many, LA and passed away September 30, 2021, in Leesville, LA at the age of 58. He grew up in the Toro Community and was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church. For about 25 years, he worked for the City of Leesville and the Leesville Fire Department before retiring as Captain. Nathan was a Mason and a member of the Leesville Lodge. He was also a member of the American Legion Sons of Liberty Post #145 where he was the current Commander and had previously served in many leadership positions. Nathan enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his friends and especially liked to hunt and fish. He loved God and his family.
Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, Dan W. Condon and Jackie McNeely Condon and brother, Danny Ray Condon.
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Horace Nathaniel “Junior” Condon Jr. (Emily) of Toro, LA and Christian Nathaniel Condon of Hornbeck, LA;
daughters, Jodi Renee’ Condon of Anacoco, LA, Makensie Alyse Condon of Hornbeck, LA, Julianne Denne (Adam), of Leesville, LA, and Jenna Gray (Austin) of Leesville, LA;
grandchildren, Aja Mae Condon, Kylee Shae Condon, Tucker McKay Condon, Beau Darragh, Colby Darragh, and Kyra Denne;
brother, Timothy Matthew Condon (Kimberly);
nieces and nephews, Alayna Webb, Jensen Condon, Mathew Condon, Chipper Lee, Dustin Lee, and Liz Fugate;
loving girlfriend, Shelly McClain;
and extended family members and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Junior Condon, Bruce Howell, Jim Summitt, Toddy Martin, Steve Hinkle, William Tibbitts, Robert Belsha, and Christian Condon. Honorary pallbearers will be Amanda Laurence, Brandon Strickland, Eric Baker, Juan Ledesma, Stacy Dixon, Peanut Bowman, Lynn Edwards, Kyle Bush, Donnie McKee, Danny Singletary, Josh Foster, Mike Allen, Jake McKee, George Andrews, Carl Tibbitts, Howard Perry, Timothy Condon, Dustin Lee, and Chipper Lee.
The directions to Pisgah Baptist Church are as follows: take Hornbeck 392 to 463 then left on 191 then left onto Pisgah Church Road and right at the old Curtis Grocery.
