Funeral services for Hershel Lane Smith will be held on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Hearts United Worship Center in Evans, Louisiana, with Rev. Roger Jeane officiating and burial to follow in the Evans Cemetery under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service of Leesville. Visitation will begin on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the Hearts United Worship Center and then from 8:00 AM till service time on Sunday. Hershel, 63 yrs, 9 months and 22 days was born July 2, 1950 in Leesville, La to Hershel Calvin and Faye LaVergne Jeane Smith. He passed away on Thursday, April 24th, 2014 in Evans and had lived his life in the Evans area where he worked as a insulator and member of Local 112 insulators, also he had worked for the Vernon Parish Policy Jury and was of the Pentecostal faith. Preceding him in death was his parents. His survivors are: Six sons and daughters in law: Kevin and Cindy Smith of Evans, Hershel and Libby Smith of Anacoco, Tim Womack of Leesville, Tommy Lane and Kristi Smith,of Hornbeck, Brandy and Amy Smith of Evans and Joshua"Josh" Smith of Evans. Three Sisters and Brothers in law: Brenda and Earl Primeaux of DeRidder, Lynn and JIm Tuck of Leesville and Dianne and Bobby Aguillard of Eunice 15 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren Pallbearers will be : Shalako Owens, Brandy Smith, Lucas Smith, Tanner Smith, Tommy Smith and Kevin Smith Honorary Pallbearers will be: Earl Primeaux, Josh Smith, Hershel Smith and Tim Womack Words of Comfort may be extended to the family at www.jeanefs.com or jeanefuneralservice@gmail.com
