Obituary for Herman Truman "Red" Corley
Funeral services for Herman Truman “Red” Corley will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at Crystal Springs Baptist Church with Reverends Rodney Hickman and Morris Goins officiating. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will begin at the church on Tuesday, August 31st at 5:00 p.m. and will continue until the time of service.
Truman was born February 21, 1945, in Anacoco, LA and passed away August 29, 2021, in Leesville, LA at the age of 76. He was a life-long resident of Anacoco and enjoyed camping, riding his four-wheeler, and watching wrestling or football. He was a fan of LSU and the New Orleans Saints. You could often find him sitting on the front porch drinking coffee. Truman truly loved spending time with his family, and they would often enjoy a good meal together or play card games like Rook.
Truman was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Brooklyn Corley and Lavell Martin Corley and sisters, Dottie Toney and Monica Corley.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 38 years, Ann Corley of Anacoco, LA;
sons, James Corley and wife Janie of Zwolle, LA, Jonathan Castie and wife Angela of Anacoco, LA, and Michael Corley and wife Josette of Leesville, LA;
daughters, Pamela Corley of Leesville, LA, Paula Richards and husband Johnny of Pleasant Hill, LA, and Misty Hardy and husband Dustin of Anacoco, LA;
grandchildren, Brittany, Megan, Lauren, Brandon, Wynonna, Waylon, James, Cayle, Toby, Gage, Alexia, Kyrstin, Evan Michael, and Aiden;
six great grandchildren;
brothers, Cecil Corley, Nuel Corley, and Sherman Corley;
and a host of extended family.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Hardy, John Lewis, James Castie, Evan Michael Bailey, Timmy Jeane, and Terry Osterhoudt. Honorary pallbearers will be Doyle Hardy and Shawn Rains.
