Obituary for Helen Lavene Wilson Kilburg
Helen Lavene Wilson Kilburg was born on March 2, 1932, and passed away on October 6, 2019, at the age of 87. She graduated from Pickering High School and later married William Peter Kilburg. They were married for 51 years. During that time, they moved to Illinois where they raised their family. Later, she moved back to Leesville. Helen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, making arts and crafts, and was a master quilter. For many years, she worked as a Wal-Mart greeter both in Illinois and in Leesville.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, William Peter Kilburg; parents, Carl Wilson Sr. and Ina McClaren Wilson; brothers, Carl Wilson Jr. and Marvin Wilson; and sister, Carrie Belle Wilson Rhodes.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Kevin Kilburg and wife Judy of Mundelein, IL and Walter Kilburg and wife Irene of Yorkville, IL
daughters, Sharon (Jay) Hunt of Frankfort, IL and Robin Bitterman and husband Bill of Georgia
brother, Huey Wilson and wife Penny
sisters, Rachel Royalty and husband Don, Betty Janzen, Ruth Wilson, and Linda Zappa and husband Bob
nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, sixteen nieces, and thirteen nephews.
