Obituary for Heather Danielle Nash
Heather Danielle Midkiff Nash was born on August 13, 1980 in Lake Charles, La. She departed from this life on October 22, 2020, at her home, surrounded by loved ones.
Heather had the true heart of a servant and wanted everyone to feel welcome and comfortable in her home.
She had a dry wit and was very quick with a humorous remark that often had family and friends in stitches laughing. She was an avid reader and a strong believer that everyone should have a library card so they too could enjoy a good book. She loved spending time with her family.
Heather loved the holiday season, and was an excellent cook. Her hush puppy recipe was the envy of all at many fish fry’s over the years. Many traveling evangelists and missionaries were guests at her table, and they always left full and encouraged.
Heather was a servant in the purest sense of the word. She cleaned many floors, served at every church function, and always supported her church in any way that was needed. Her ministry was in all the “little things” that so often go unnoticed, but are completely necessary.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, David Nash of Burr Ferry, La; her two sons, Tanner Nash of Burr Ferry, La, and Trenton Nash and wife, Brittany, of Burr Ferry, La; her granddaughters Chloe Nash and Scarlett Nash of Burr Ferry, La; her parents, Kirk and Connie Midkiff of Evans, La; her brother, Dustin Midkiff and wife, Cassie, of Walker, La, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harvey and Brenda Nash of Burr Ferry, La; her brothers-in Law, Jason Nash of Burr Ferry, and Aaron Nash and wife Julianna, of Burr Ferry, La; her niece, Kensli Midkiff and nephews Rhett Midkiff and Judah Nash; her maternal grandmother, Von Fee Savell of Evans, La. She is also survived by a host of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, relatives and friends who were forever impacted by her amazing spirit!
Funeral services for Heather will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Burr Ferry Pentecostal Church with Reverends Mark Christian, Eddie Tilley, and Roger Herrington officiating. Burial will follow in Burr Ferry Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday, October 24th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Tanner Nash, Trenton Nash, Aaron Nash, Dillon Fee, Justice Fee, and Lee Midkiff. Honorary pallbearer will be Jason Nash.
