Obituary for Harvey Ray Haymon
Harvey Ray Haymon was born September 8, 1934, in Fullerton, Louisiana and passed away April 10, 2022, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 87. He attended school in Leesville before joining the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. For 20 years, he was a vocational school Automotive Technology Instructor and retired in 2000. He traveled for a few years before beginning a career at Sabine State Bank where he worked as a bank courier and retired after 17 years. His family was so important to him, and he spent countless hours at their events and just spending time together. Harvey was always available to help family or friends at any time. All these people were important to him, but his most important relationship was his faith and trust in God. Because of this, they know they can be with Harvey again one day.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Mary & Herman Haymon; sister, Gloria Faircloth; son, Marty Snyder; and grandchildren, Brooke & Clay Hennigan.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Trina Haymon of Leesville;
daughters, Tanya Collins of Texas, Rita Watkins (DeWayne) of Anacoco, LA, Sharon Hennigan of Minden, LA, Stacy Woods (David) of Sibley, LA, and Kelly Billiot (John) of Leesville;
son, Rodney Haymon (Ionela) of Leesville;
daughter-in-law, Angel McLeod of Dry Creek, LA;
grandchildren, Trey Hennigan (Ashley), Robbie Carter, John Williams (Faith), Ashley Carter, Stephanie Scott, Kelsey Boze (Ethan), Colby Hennigan, Montana Polack (Matt), Malia Billiot, Elizabeth Haymon, Brianna Billiot, Jewel Snyder, and Scooter Pollock (Shana);
great-grandchildren, Kensley Carter, Lily Williams, Cullen Scott, Logan Scott, Beckett Scott, Oliver Pollock, and Olivia Boze;
sisters, Dona Owens and Linda Lloyd;
and numerous extended family members and friends.
Funeral services for Harvey will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at First Baptist Church of Leesville with Reverends Craig Forque, Jeff Coleman, and Brian Gilcrease officiating. Burial will follow in Castor Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Robbie Carter, John Williams, Ethan Boze, Trey Hennigan, Scooter Pollack, Matt Polack, Colby Hennigan, and Scott Johnson. A visitation will be held at the church from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12th.
