Obituary for Harold Clayton McDonald
Harold Clayton McDonald died in his home February 25, 2018 at the age of 72. Harold is survived by his sister Sandra McDonald Whitlock and husband George Leland Whitlock of Hineston, LA; nieces Katrina Flores of Houston, TX, Julie King of Pineville, LA, and Nancy Whitlock of Hineston, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents Jeff McDonald and Janice Braddy McDonald and brother Russell McDonald.
Harold was born February 24, 1946. He graduated from Pitkin High School in 1964. He grew up and lived his entire life in the Cora community. Harold loved his church Mt. Moriah and faithfully attended all services and events. He loved to visit his neighbors and go out to eat. Harold had a wonderful memory for the history of his family and community and would often talk about it in amazing detail.
Visitation is on Tuesday, February 27th from 5 PM until 9 PM at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Hineston. The funeral will be on Wednesday, February 28th at 1 PM at Mt. Moriah, with visitation from 11 AM until the start of the funeral.
The family would like to thank the church family, neighbors, community, extended family, and employees at Sissy’s restaurant for their kindness and loving support of Harold throughout his life.
