Obituary for Harmon "Happy" Lewis Spillers
Funeral services for Harmon Lewis Spillers (Happy) will be held at Jeane’s Funeral Service on Friday August 21st, 2020 at 2PM. with Brother Jeane officiating the service. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Leesville, LA. The funeral service will be live streamed on the Jeane Funeral Service Facebook page, and the video will be available to view afterwards as well. Visitation will be held from 4-5PM for immediate family and 5-10PM for friends on Thursday August 20th at Jeane’s Funeral Service. Please follow social distancing guidelines and wear a face mask.
Harmon was born January 23, 1955 in Leesville, Louisiana and went home on August 18, 2020.
He attended Leesville Middle School until 8th grade, then began a lifelong career as a carpenter.
Harmon was known as Happy to his friends because of his infectious personality. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed taking wagon rides, fishing, and hunting. You could always find him doing something with his hands.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis Barney Spillers; mother, Maggie Morine James-Spillers; brothers, Charles B. Spillers, Lester G. Spillers, James R. Spillers; and sister, Nancy E. Welch.
Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Brenda L. Jeane, Tommie L. West; and brother, William E. Spillers.
Pallbearers will be Warren Dixon, Ken Welch, Jesse West, William Spillers, Cody Jeane, and Scott Dixon. Honorary pallbearers will be Calob Johnson and Austin Martin.
