Obituary for Hae Hensley
Funeral services for Hae "Linda" Son Henley will be held Saturday, July 2, 2016, 1:00 PM at Oak Forest Baptist Church, Hwy. 117, Leesville, LA with Rev. Joe Call and Rev. David Parks officiating. Burial to follow in Leesville Cemetery under the direction of Jeane"s Funeral Service. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016, from 11:00 AM until service time at Oak Forest Baptist Church. Hae Son Hensley was born on July 29, 1955 in Cheonan Ipjangmyeon Korea to Yusun Kim and Jang-won Lee. She went to her heavenly home on June 28, 2016 at the age of 60. Hae arrived in the United States at the tender age of sixteen. She told stories about not being able to speak the language so she would draw pictures to communicate with others. Fort Knox, Kentucky was her home for more than forty years and she dreamed of going back for a visit someday. She moved to Vernon Parish several years ago to be closer to her family. Miss Linda, as she was affectionately known, loved to cook. Egg rolls were her specialty. She was a giving person and though she had little in worldly goods she was quick to share what she had with others. Cooking for others was how she comforted the needy and showed love to others. She was quick to let us know when we needed to change our ways. Left on this earth to cherish her memory are her children: Shirley and Edward Hensley Grandchildren: Donovan Hensley, Kayla Cullins, Jaden Streeter, Jordyn Stoner, Damien Hensley and Jacobi Hensley She will be cherished forever in the memories of her adopted family, the Deutsch"s, the staff of the Vernon Community Action Council and the residents, past and present of the Vernon Parish Transitional Housing Complex.
