Obituary for Gregory Heath Smith
Services for Gregory Heath "Temus" Smith will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 12:00 noon in the Big Hammock Baptist Church at 9041 Hwy 121 Leander, La. with Reverends Wayne Squyres and Benji Rhame officiating. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery in Hicks, La. under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service of Leesville. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 20th, 2015, starting at 6 p.m until the time of services at Big Hammock Baptist Church. Heath was born on February 25,1979, in DeRidder, La. to Gregory Paul and Audrey Lynn Squyres Smith and passed away on February 19, 2015, at the age of 35 years,11 months, and 26 days. He was a life resident of the Hicks/LaCamp area and had attended Hicks High School. He worked as a millwright/ mechanic for Ind Serv LLC and loved spending time outside hunting and fishing but most of all spending time with his family. Heath was a simple man enjoying simple things of life and was a member of Big Hammock Baptist Church. Preceding him in death was his grandparents and a host of family members. Survivors are his wife of 12 yrs Shay Weatherford Smith of Leander Two Sons; Rowdy and Daultyn Smith of Leander Two Daughters: Madyson and Shelby Smith of Leander Parents: Gregory and Audrey Smith of Leander Mother in law: Cheryl Weatherford of Hineston Father and mother in law: Sid and Charlene Weatherford of Glenmora Maternal Grandmother: Polly Squyers of Hinestons Brothers in law: Casey Weatherford of Alexandria and Chance Weatherford and wife Caitlin of Hicks Love donations may be made to the Heath Smith Memorial fund at the Sabine State Bank.
