Obituary for Gloria Dell Penton Toney
A visitation for Gloria Dell Penton Toney will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2018, at Jeane’s Funeral Service 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA.
Ms. Toney was born on July 27, 1934, in Bogalusa, LA and passed away on May 10, 2018, in Elmer, LA at the age of 83. Throughout her long career at the Vernon Parish School Board Office, she served the parish faithfully as a secretary. Ms. Toney retired from her job at the age of 80. She loved music and enjoyed dancing.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Darla Toney Tuck and her parents, Laurence Penton and Lessie Luree Penton Beard.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Debra Ross of Galveston, TX
Son-in-law, Ricky Ross of Leesville, LA
Grandchildren: Mason Ross, Tanner Ross, and Haley Stevens
and three great grandchildren with one on the way.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in Gloria’s memory to the Louisiana Lions Camp.
