Obituary for Gladys Renee Robertson
A memorial service for Gladys Renee Robertson will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Jeane’s Funeral Service with Reverend Kenneth Gibson officiating. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Renee was born January 14, 1966, in New Iberia, Louisiana and passed away November 2, 2022, in New Orleans, Louisiana at the age of 56. She worked as a care giver and was an excellent cook. Renee enjoyed having fun and living life. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant the world to her.
Renee was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Dale Robertson; parents, James David Hickman and Carolyn Elaine Hollands Hickman; grandparents, Newt & Lillie Hickman and Earl & Joyce Hollands; sister, Debra Paulene King, and niece, Savannah King.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Allen Daniel Robertson of Niles, MI and Demarcus Hickman (Djohanna) of Mesa, AZ;
daughters, Emily Louvisa Hickman of Galveston, TX, Sherry Lynn Robertson (Chris Coleman) of Texas City, TX, and Crystal Marie Martin of Galveston, TX;
grandchildren, Alyssa Johnson, Alexis Robertson, Alex Robertson, Sashaco Lloyd, Catelyn Lloyd, Jabari Washington, Lexieana McMurrin, Millieana McMurrin, Aurora Newland (Noah), Xavier Pitts, Amber Bogan, Aalyah Hickman, and Jai’Kem Lewis;
great-grandchildren, Zayden, Bella, and Giovanni;
brother, James David Hickman Jr. (Tanya Henderson) of DeRidder, LA;
sisters, Leshia Williamson of Kinston, AL, Wanda Brumley (Rick) of Leesville, LA, Lillie Richard (David) of DeRidder, LA, and Tawanna Hickman of Chesaning, MI;
nieces and nephews, Steven Vance Hickman, J.L. McDonald, Lane Oliver, Joseph Oliver, Amy Richard, Austin Richard, and Hannah King;
and a host of extended family members and friends.
