Geraldine (Jeri) Mayo was born December 17, 1944 in Crossville, Tennessee to William Earl and Laura French and passed away August 21, 2024 at the age of 79. Jeri was raised in Crossville, Tennesse in a large family. She had 5 siblings and they grew up singing and playing music. She was a part of the French Trio and they traveled all over Tennessee singing. That early love for music and playing guitar carried with her throughout her whole life. She shared her love of music with her family and everyone she knew. She was a avid member of First Baptist Church of Leesville where she raised her girls and was a member of the choir. She sang many specials at church and loved sharing her love for the lord with others.

Jeri and her two girls Cindy and Crystal made Leesville their home in 1972. She was the secretary turned Manager at Nichols in Leesville for 36 years. She loved her job and you would always find her dressed to impress and ready to handle business. In 1982 she met the love of her life John Mayo and they just recently celebrated 41 years of matrimonial bliss. It was no secret that she found the purest form of joy in her grandchildren and their many accomplishments. She loved watching westerns, Fox News and sitting on the porch. She enjoyed the simple things in life and loved her cats like they were her children. Jeri was a woman of pure faith and loved like no other. Her friends and family were her world.
