Obituary for Gary Leland Holt
Gary Leland Holt was born on August 18, 1944, to Marcus and Ethel Holt and passed away on October 12, 2016 at the age of 72. Gary was a life-long resident of Vernon parish and graduated from Evans High School. He was an Army veteran and a charter member of Pickering Lodge #477. Gary was the past master of Anacoco Lodge #147 and was a member there for 50 years. He was a great guitar player and played with several country-western bands throughout this area. Gary was a hard worker who loved to read and loved to spend time with his grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers � Dalton Marcus Holt, Thurmon Holt, Kenneth Don Holt, and Freeman Holt. He is survived by his wife of 45 years � Lula Holt of Leesville, LA Son: Marcus A. Holt and wife Amber of Leesville, LA Grandchildren: Kylee Alexandar Holt, Landry Collin Holt, and Maycee Addison Holt A host of nieces and nephews A private service will be held at a later date.
