Obituary for Gary Eugene Miller
Funeral services for Gary Eugene Miller will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022, at LaCamp United Pentecostal Church with Reverend James Hebert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Gary was born March 16, 1957, in Akron, Ohio and passed away June 19, 2022, at the age of 65. He was a proud Marine veteran and worked as a police officer in Jacksonville, Florida for at least 20 years. Gary also worked as a correctional officer. He attended LaCamp United Pentecostal Church and enjoyed tinkering with cars and lawn mowers. He was the one to call if you needed anything or had a problem. His grandchildren called him PawPaw Superman.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Glen Eugene Miller and Anna Boggs Miller; stepfather, Doyle Lehman; sisters, Angel and Linda Miller; and grandchildren, Trace Brooks and Railey Brooks.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Rita Ann Miller of Pineville, LA;
sons, Darrell Miller of Ohio, James Darren Miller and wife Stephanie of Amarillo, TX, William Blake Miller and wife Amber of Missouri, and Ryan Miller of Florida;
daughters, MaKayla Miller of Pineville, Crystal Gayle Brooks and husband Bruce of DeVille, LA; Beatrice Ann Miller and husband Emanuel Rosario of Pineville, Crystal Ann Taylor and husband John of DeVille;
grandchildren, Ryland, Weston, Nathan, Alex, Liam, Ashley, Emma, Aaron, Trinity, MaKayla, Dakota, Ethan, Blake, Payton, Sabrina, Jimmy Dale, Landon, Emily, Chase, Ciera, and Cheyenne;
great-granddaughter, Esme Lynn Shelburne;
brothers, Ray Boggs and wife Norma and Wade Miller all of Ohio;
father-in-law, David Johnson;
and a host of extended family members and friends.
