Obituary for Gary Dwayne Nash
Funeral services for Gary Dwayne Nash of Leesville will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Oak Forest Baptist Church on Hwy 117 North of Leesville with Reverends Millard Monk and Chad Longino officiating. Burial will follow in the Canaan Cemetery on Hwy 8 west of Leesville under the care of Jeane's Funeral Service of Leesville. Visitation will begin on Thursday, at 3:00 P.M and continue till service time at th church. Gary, 65 of Leesville was born March 21, 1949 in Natchitouches, La to Charles Thomas and Nettie Jane Norsworthy Nash. He passed away on Tuesday, April 8th, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He grew up in Vernon Parish where he worked for Leesville Concrete, B&B Trucking and for the past 10 yrs worked for the Vernon Parish Sheriff Office as a Deputy. He loved to collect guns, hunt, fish and working in his shop repairing lawn mowers. He was a longtime member of Oak Forest Baptist Church. Preceding him in death was his parents; sisters: Paulene Williams and Racnd hel Moss Brother; Quinton Nash SR. Granddaughter; ShyAnn Nash. Survivors are his wife of 41 yrs. Karen Martin Nash of Leesville Son and daughter in Law: Tommy and Sherry Nash of Hornbeck Daughter and Son in law: Tracy and Thomas Underwood of Hicks and Daughter; Tangie Nash of Leesville .Sisters: Maggie Isgitt of Anacoco, Patsy Williams (Herman ) of Shreveport; Shirley Graham of Haughton, Connie Hilton"Bub" and Sandra Hilton of Leesville Grandchildren: Justin, Levin, Nathan, Derrin, Ashyton, Haleigh, Jacob, Lane and Jarrett Great Grandchildren; Weston and Bentley and Lia Host of Nephews and Nieces and friends The family would like to thank Vernon Parish Sheriff Office and Dr. Upaday, Dr. Ghanta, Byrd Regional Hospital and Hospice of Leesville.
