Obituary for Forrest Wayne Porter
A graveside service for Forrest Wayne Porter will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at Leesville Cemetery with Reverend Mark Christian officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s Funeral Service on Thursday from 10:00 -10:45 a.m.
Wayne was born August 27, 1944, in Orange, Texas and passed away October 31, 2022, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 78. He was a member of First United Pentecostal Church of Leesville and enjoyed reading. His favorite books to read were westerns written by Louis L’Amour. Horses were his favorite animal, and he liked to ride when he could. Wayne had a precious, sweet spirit and dearly loved his wife, Madeline.
Wayne was preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Green Porter; parents, Forrest Porter & Jerry Oleta Hammond Porter; and sister, Phyllis Miller.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Madeline Porter of Leesville, LA; son, Matthew Porter and wife Faith; daughters, Angela Porter and Summer Porter; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; a special niece, Lucinda Boughner; and extended family members and friends.
