A visitation for Florence “Flo” Eloice Fessler will be held on Sunday September 10 at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church from 11:30 am till the time of service. A memorial service will be at 12:30 pm at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church with Pastor Ann Rudat officiating.
Florence “Flo” Eloice Fessler (87) passed away peacefully on Thursday August 31,2023 following a short, yet strong battle with pneumonia.
Flo was born on August 27, 1936 in Florien Louisiana to Charles and Moyese Richmond. She was the youngest of four children. Flo spent the majority of her adolescent life in Leesville, LA where she graduated from Leesville High School in 1954. She met the love of her life, Richard “Dick” Fessler during a USO dance at Camp Polk and they were married November 3, 1953. With this union came three sons.
Flo is known for her many talents including line dancing, song writing, and her impeccable watercolor painting skills. She was a member of the red hat society and she loved having get-togethers with all of the other ladies. Flo was loved by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her and she will be greatly missed.
Flo is survived by her son Rodeny Fessler and five grandchildren; Alycia Fessler, Dustin Fessler, Dorothy Fessler, Dale Fessler and Brionnah Fessler.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Moyese Richmond; husband Richard “Dick” Fessler; sons Randy and Rick Fessler; sisters Ollie Russell and Mary Brumfield and one brother Beau Richmond.
