A graveside service for Everette Loyd Robertson Sr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2021 in Antioch Cemetery with Reverend Louis Robertson officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Loyd was born January 21, 1943 in Alexandria, LA and passed away April 9, 2021 in Leesville, LA at the age of 78. He was a jack of all trades who served in the National Guard and worked in construction. He also enjoyed working with wood and was a member of the N.H. Bray Masonic Lodge in Slagle. Loyd was a jokester who was always in good spirits. He would joke and pick with everyone, even animals. He loved his family, and was considered by all that knew him to be a good and decent man.
Loyd was preceded in death by his parents, Eloi Odell Robertson and Helen Harville Robertson, and by his wife Carolyn Sue Robertson.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Bryan Vickers of Killeen, TX; Loyd Robertson Jr. (Jodi) of Brooten, Minnesota; and Nathan Robertson of Leesville, LA;
Sister, Elois Sigler of Leesville, LA;
Grandchildren, Hunter & Haley Robertson, Christopher Vickers, Colin, Emma, Katy, Colton, & Sadie Robertson, and two great-grandchildren.
Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day
Unseen, unheard, but always near
Still loved, still missed, and very dear.
