It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce Elvie Frances Sliger Knarr passed away on May 21, 2024.
Elvie was born on September 20, 1941 in Hartsville, TN.
She walked through life with strength like no other. She taught us that "all things are small things", "if you sound successful you're perceived as successful", "if you dress the part you're halfway there" and something about fiddle sticks. She always kept a sense of adventure and loved to travel. She has traveled to many places and even did some missionary work in her time.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eloise McGee Pickering and Louis Sliger.
Three of her children entered eternal rest before her. Infants, Ivan Richard Ray and Teresa Elaine Ray. She was also preceded in death by an adult daughter Rose Marie Caballero.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Don Ray, Husbands Merlyn Grow, and JR Knarr, all of whom adored her.
Remaining children to cherish her memory are Donna Sue Merritt-husband John,
Glenn Edward Ray, James Lawrence Ray and Thomas Bryce Ray-wife Nichole
Grandchildren: Monica George (husband Larry George), Roxie Ray, Paige Bordelon (husband Jordan Bordelon),
Logan Caballero (wife Morgan Caballero), and Matthew Ray. Also,10 great grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Respectfully, there is so much else that can be said for such a lady as Elvie Frances Sliger Knarr, but we will hold the memories in our hearts.
There will be a private family service held in her memory on June 22, 2024
