Obituary for Elaine Langworthy
A memorial service for Elaine Gertrude Darling Langworthy will be held on September 9, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Jeane"s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St., Leesville, LA. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m. Elaine was born on September 2, 1935, to Paul and Adelaide (Wood) Darling in Athol, Massachusetts and passed away on September 3, 2016 in Leesville, LA at the age of 81. She was a 1953 graduate of Lakewood High School and worked for about 25 years in the school system as a bus driver and cook. Sewing, quilting, and making crafts were some of Elaine"s hobbies. She lived most of her life in Buckley and Graham, Washington before moving to Lafayette. Elaine will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Preceding Elaine in death were her parents, husband " Ed Langworthy, one son " Roger Lee Burbridge, and one sister " Pauline Mohs Elaine is survived by One son: Douglas and wife Lisa Gould of Marysville, WA One daughter: Cheryl and husband Steve Stedley of Tacoma, WA One brother: Raymond and wife Maureen Darling of Ellensburg, WA Two sisters: Beverly Haley of Ackley, IA and Betty and husband Rick Gosewehr of Leesville, LA Special niece: Desiree Hickman of Lafayette, LA Great nieces/nephews: Kayla, Jason, Kendahl, and Cason Betts as well as a host of other nieces and nephews Special friends: Scrapy Girlz and Crystal Theriot Words of comfort may be expressed at www.jeanesfs.com.
