Obituary for Edward Ronald Hunt
Edward Ronald Hunt was born on January 6, 1947, to Everette Douglas Hunt and Georgia Mae White, in Leesville, Louisiana. Ed was one of 12 children. He attended public schools in Lafayette, Louisiana. Upon graduation from high school in 1965, Ed enlisted in the U. S. Air Force. He remained on active duty until 1970. Ed served 1 tour of duty in Vietnam. After serving his country, Ed began a lengthy career in the oil fields of Louisiana and Texas, retiring in 1998.
Ed is survived by wife, Linda Kay Hunt, daughters Kelley Elizabeth Hill and husband Tony of Nacogdoches, TX, Tracey Kay Dauzat and husband Steven of Marksville, LA, Jodi Dawn Wilson and husband Dan of Eastland, TX, Sabrina Lynn Hunt of Weymouth, MA, and Son Chester Darden and wife Bobbie of Smithville MO, sister Mary Logsdon and husband Mark of Zachary, LA, sister Margie Gilbert of Denham Springs, LA. Also survived by sisters-in-law Ginger, Patsy, and Francis Hunt, and brother-in-law Wayne Sparks. Grandchildren Levi Boniol, Clayton Boniol, Bethany Sprayberry, Delaney Mott, Stephen Boniol, Emilee Henry, Marlee Mann, Ashley Hill, Alyson Le, Rachel Bates, Ashley Engle, Megan Wilson, Zachary Dauzat, Courtney Chauffepied, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by fur babies Rudy and Maggie.
Ed was predeceased by Father Everette, Mother Georgia, 9 brothers Douglas, Donald, Johnny, Roger, Marlin, Archie, David, Troy, and E. J. Hunt. Ed was also predeceased by Jean Hunt and fur baby Rocky,
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the time of service, at Jeane’s Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday May 22, 2024 at Jeane’s Funeral Home, 100 E. Union St., Leesville, LA with Reverend Paul Hoskey officiating the service. Burial will follow in John C. White Cemetery near Rosepine, LA.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Sparks, Joseph Sparks, Hunter Jones, Levi Boniol, Clayton Boniol, and Jon Logsdon
Honorary Pallbearers will be David Sparks, Tony Hill, Dan Wilson, Steven Dauzat, Mark Logsdon, and Chester Darden
