Obituary for Duffie J Williams
Funeral services for Duffie Joe Williams will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2015, at 2:00 PM at the Toledo Bend Baptist Church, Hwy. 111 West, Anacoco, LA, with Rev. Bill Russell and Rev. Kenneth Baggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery, Anacoco, LA under the direction of Jeane"s Funeral Service. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 14, 2015, beginning at 5:00PM until service time on Sunday at the Toledo Bend Baptist Church. Duffie Joe Williams was born on January 10, 1939, to JD and Mae Ella Williams in Hornbeck, LA and passed away at the age of 76 years in Shreveport, LA, on February 12, 2015. He worked for Boise Cascade for 32 years. After retiring, he spent the rest of his best years going to the store to drink coffee with his buddies. He loved to watch things grow and loved messing with horses and mules. He also loved to fish and spending time with his kids and grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, JD and Mae Ella Williams, brothers: Floyd, MacArthur,Virgil, Leland and Lemand, Williams, and 2 infant siblings. Survivors include his daughters: Carmen Alexander (Scooter) of Hornbeck, LA, Carla Alexander of Hornbeck, LA, and Denise O"Quinn (Tim) of Port Arthur, TX Sons: Gregory Joe Williams (Sandy), of Florien, TX, Carlton Wayne Williams of Hornbeck LA, Floyd Roland Williams of Hemphill, TX Grandkids: Taylor O"Quinn, Dylan and Kirstie Williams, John Thomas Williams, Kalli Richard, Cori, Chelsi, Carli Alexander, Dre, Lenzie, and Brady Alexander Great-Grandsons: Bentlee Joesph Alexander and Nathen Alexander Brothers: Lee Raymond Williams (Doris) of Anacoco, LA, Billy Fish Williams of Anacoco, LA, Charlie Williams (Melba) of Anacoco, LA, Dwight Buddy Williams (Paige) of Anacoco, LA, and Fred Williams (Earlene) of Hornbeck, LA Sister: Shirley Hamrick of Hornbeck, LA Words of comfort may be extended to the family at www.jeanesfs.com.
