Obituary for Douglas Lee Taylor
Graveside services honoring the life of Douglas Lee Taylor, Jr., will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Central Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery at 10:00 AM with Derrick Addison officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Douglas Lee Taylor, Jr. was born on March 20, 1949, to Douglas Lee Taylor, Sr. and Nettie Addison Taylor. He passed from this life on December 30, 2020, in Leesville, LA at the age of 71. He served our country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam conflict. He was a decorated soldier receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Purple Heart medal with 2 stars, Combat Action Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, and Rifle Sharp Shooters Badge. He loved the outdoors, fishing and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robin Taylor, and daughter, Leah Taylor.
He is survived by his aunts, Glenda Ramalho from New Jersey, Glenda Nell Monk from Leesville, LA, grandchildren, niece and nephew.
