Dorothy Evans was born July 21,1932. She went to be with the Lord May 7, 2021. She was 88yrs old and was surrounded by her family and friends. She worked and retired from Leesville State School after 30plus years. For all who knew her, she was known to them as (Nana) she enjoyed spending her time crocheting, sewing, solving word puzzles, and watching her game shows and her gospel channel. She loved reading her bible and writing in her journal her thoughts of the day. She loved her trips to Walmart and the DG. Wow did she love to eat, she looked forward to finding new places to try. Her favorite of all was fried fish. She was always up for new adventure, didn’t matter where as long as she was going. At the age of 82 it led to her many adventures. To just name some of her first, she took her first ride on a Harley, a boat ride, sling shot auto, and first horse and buggy ride since childhood. Her first water park adventure was where she sat and people watched. She also had her first dance with a man that adores her dearly. A woman that has never worn makeup nor had her nails painted, she was pampered quiet often at the nail salon getting nails done and eyebrows waxed. She was so full of life and laughter. She loved her family to the fullest. To her “everyone was family” and everyone loved nana. She was the most unselfish woman we knew. She was truly grateful when her daughter’s and granddaughter’s new homes were being built, and her son-in-law and grandson-in-law made sure her needs were accommodated to the fullest. Today our hearts are broken to let our precious angel go. God loaned her to us for a short time to enjoy the journey of life with her and we were so blessed. Our tears will fall but we know she’s in the arms of the Lord rejoicing with her mom and dad and loved ones that has gone before her. She is now singing in the heavenly choir, just waiting for the day to see us all again. We love you and will forever miss you daily. Till we meet again - Momma, Nana.
